Lead 4 Success®
with Clemson Turregano

Powered by CCL
Equip people at all levels of the organization to master the fundamentals of leadership.
Lead 4 Success® moves leaders from average to high-performing by developing the 4 fundamental leadership skills — self-awareness, learning agility, influence, and communication — that leaders at any level need to master for success.
The importance of developing fundamental leadership skills cannot be understated. No matter their intelligence, experience, or drive, leaders at every level need the same 4 core skills to be effective and grow within an organization.
- Self-awareness: Understand your behavior’s impact on organizational outcomes
- Communication: Effectively communicate goals and inspire trust
- Influence: Be comfortable persuading, promoting, and delegating
- Learning agility: Know when to change course, and help others to do so
The Fundamental 4 have endured the test of time, and are the basis for our Lead 4 Success® program, where participants immerse themselves in development, adapt these skills to their own leadership contexts, participate with peers in learning, and share ideas to apply to their leadership lessons to their real world.
Data Analytics for Education–R Scripting
with Scott Moore and Dave Eubanks

This certificate program unlocks the power of automation by showing how to convert work done in spreadsheets to using scripts that can be easily read, executed, and shared. This change unlocks a “do it once” workflow that frees analysts to focus on improvements, automation, and more in-depth analysis instead of rote tasks. The written instructions of the script are created in an intuitive language to precisely describe operations like selecting, filtering, renaming, grouping, and summarizing rows and columns of data—all using free statistical software.
We will be using the R software package because, compared to using Excel, you will be more efficient, you will be better equipped to work with large data sets, you will be able to create better & more complete reports, your graphics will be more explanatory, and your reports will be better structured, more repeatable, and more informative.
This course is the beginning of your path to get from spreadsheets to scripting—we will use the language of spreadsheets (rows, columns, filtering, data lookup, etc.) to introduce and explain. The workshop is interactive and applied, focusing on IR problems common to universities, such as admissions, retention, learning effectiveness, and diversity. Each week unlocks new abilities and ideas you can use right away.
Live sessions will be held every week starting Wednesday, May 28, and meet every Monday and Wednesday from 3-4:30 pm to finish on Wednesday, July 2 with final project submission. Asynchronous option is available.
Data Analytics for Education–Data Visualization
with Scott Moore and Dave Eubanks

Students, who are assumed to have experience manipulating data in R (as covered in the R Scripting course), are introduced to the skills needed to create both simple graphs for data exploration, more complicated graphs for presentations, and sets of graphs for multiple audiences.
Each week students will be introduced to a topic, work through group exercises during class, have work through more advanced exercises during a live problem session, and will work on a course-long project. All of this will be in preparation for defining and completing a personal project with the student’s own data.
Meets every Thursday and Tuesday from 3:00-4:30 pm EST starting May 29, 2025–July 1, 2025
